Two days of Christmas fun!

We are waiting at the train station in Anaheim, about to start the rail part of our holiday. Have had a fabulous two days at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. Got heaps of great rides in on Christmas Eve, mostly due to the quick entry passes we got after grant was 'rescued' from a ride that broke down, by the Disney Fire Dept! Our favourite Disney ride was space mountain followed by lots of others! Had a great view of the Christmas parade, very beautiful and slick. Today it was California Adventure Park, Jack was very keen on the California Scream roller coaster, rode it twice with his father, while Tim and I took a pass. We also really loved the Soaring over California, a flight simulator. Big crowds today, but we chose the right park, as Disneyland was so packed, they even stopped letting people in. Tim is thrilled with his ewok backpack present, Jack is yet to choose his. Americans just love their pets, we shared a park shuttle with a family who had brought their cat to Disneyland in a buggy! Tomorrow is universal studios, looking forward to it , but also looking forward to a more restful day on the 27th.

It sounded & looked to be a lot of fun!
Grant didn't seem too distressed with the firemen's lift. What a great deal you got in return for that adventure.
Your photos are so good for us to get a sense of your doings. We can remember the train line back into LA. A lot of it goes down the middle of a freeway?
Continue to enjoy it all- and thanks Nicky for keeping us so well in touch.
Love to all

so glad you managed to get on the soaring over cali ride! That was a "leisure ride" favourite! I also really enjoyed the haunted mansion and space mountain!
